Privacy policy

JobAndSeek ("we") helps you find jobs, apply and track your applications. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. It applies to the website onlinejobsearcher.com and our iOS and Android apps.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and name, used to sign you in (through Microsoft Entra, our sign-in provider).
• What you give us: your resume or LinkedIn profile export, profile and preferences, project stories, saved answers, job applications and notes, cover letters and other documents you upload, and LinkedIn connections if you choose to upload them.
• Jobs: public job postings we find for you and the scores and write-ups we create.
• Usage and diagnostics: basic technical logs and performance data (for example how long a page took) to keep the service working. We don't use advertising trackers.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

How we use it

• To find and score jobs for you, write cover letters and other documents you ask for, coach applications, and send the emails you turn on.
• To run, secure and improve the service, and to provide support.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

Who processes it for us

• Anthropic (Claude AI) processes the parts of your profile and job details needed for each AI feature. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
• Microsoft Azure hosts the service and stores your data in the United States, and sends our emails.
• Stripe processes subscription payments. Twilio sends texts only if you turn texts on.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each person's data is isolated at the database level, files are private and shared only through short-lived links, and secrets are kept in a managed vault.

How long we keep it, and deleting it

We keep your data while you have an account, including after a trial ends, so it's there if you come back. You can delete your account at any time in Settings (website) or Account (app). Deletion locks your account immediately and permanently erases your data, including files, after 30 days; until then you can restore it.

Your rights

You can access and correct your data in the app, download your documents, and delete your account. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU) you may have additional rights; contact us to use them.

Children

The service is not intended for anyone under 16.
